JDS Pancharatna Rath Yatra; H. D. Kumaraswamy who drove in Bangalore
JDS's ambitious Pancharatna Rath Yatra was symbolically launched at Basavanagudi's Sri Gavigangadhareshwar temple on Thursday with abhishekam and puja.
Former CM HDK, who started the Yatra at Gavigangadhareshwara Temple, performed puja at Gavigangadharaswamy Temple and started the Pancharatna Rath Yatra. Before the elections held in 1994 under the leadership of Deve Gowda, worship was performed here. I was thinking of starting the Pancharat Rath Yatra from November 1. However, he said that today is a special day so he started today.
The Pancharat Rath Yatra will begin in full swing on November 1 at Kurudumale in Mulabagili. A big convention will be held there on that day. Before that, i.e. tomorrow, puja is being performed at Annamma temple. Rath Yatra is symbolically performed in Gandhinagar. He said that the Rath Yatra will be conducted for 35 days in the first phase.
The program is being offered to complement the development of the entire state. This program is the foundation to give a peaceful life. Potential candidates have already visited Mother Chamundeshwari in Mysore.
Shiva protected our family and father. Shiva protected Devegowda and brought him back to life even when he fell ill. So, he said, he has worshiped Lord Shiva.
National parties do not care about the people. I had earlier waived off farmers' loans. Even then, the national parties spoke lightly. Congress leaders are now concerned about Upper Bhadra. What did the government do for five years? He lashed out at the Congress saying, "Will they give water to the people now?"
On the same occasion, responding to the issue of tractor rally by Congress for Bhadra upper bank, Mahadayi project, power was in your hands for five years. What did you give to these projects in those five years? HDK asked if you have become enlightened now.
There is no fear of another party's padayatra. We are watching their padayatra. Those who did not do it when the Congress leaders' program was five years old, why do they do it now? He said this is just an election stunt
